We are located a short walk or a few minutes’ drive from the centre of historic Nottinghamshire market town, Newark. Situated in over 14 acres of natural parkland our location offers the best of both worlds, with ample space for children to explore their natural environment and easy access to local facilities within Newark and the surrounding area. 

We are conveniently located for local transport links with a regular high-speed rail service to London Kings Cross (just over an hour) and local trains to Lincoln and Nottingham.  We are just minutes away from core trunk roads including the A1 north (for Doncaster) and south (for Grantham and Stamford), the A46 towards Nottingham and Leicester and the A17 towards Lincoln.

    Directions to our school

    By Car:

    Travelling from Newark town centre – heading south-east follow London Road past the Asda filling station and straight on at the old hospital crossroads (Boundary Road junction) towards Balderton.  You will find us just beyond the hump back bridge on the left hand side, clearly signposted from the road.  Our car park is immediately on the left as you turn in from London Road. 

    Travelling from the A1 northbound or southbound – exit at the Newark South junction (Fernwood / Balderton) and follow London Road towards Newark, passing a Sainsbury’s supermarket on the left and a large Lidl also on the left as you approach the town centre (approximately 1.5 miles).  You will find us just before the hump back bridge on the right hand side.

    Travelling from Nottingham – leave the A46 dual carriageway at the Newark bypass and follow the signs for Newark town centre, then pick up London Road and follow directions as if travelling from Newark town centre. 

    Travelling from Lincoln – leave the A17 at Newark (the Friendly Farmer roundabout) and join the A1 southbound for one junction then follow the instructions as if travelling southbound on the A1.

    By Public Transport: 

    There is a regular bus service from the bus station in Newark town centre along the length of London Road.  Local train services run from Newark Castle to Nottingham and Lincoln plus villages.  High speed rail services are from Newark Northgate to Grantham and Kings Cross (southbound) or Doncaster, York, Leeds or Edinburgh (northbound).

    On foot: 

    From Newark town centre, follow London Road (signs for A1 Balderton / Fernwood / Grantham / A1 southbound) past the Asda filling station, continue along London Road straight on at the old hospital crossroads (junction with Boundary Road), continue for about three-quarters of a mile and you will find Highfields on the left hand side just as you enter Balderton.  Please note this route is served by a regular bus service from the town centre.  There is also a pedestrian cycle lane along the entire length of London Road.
