At Highfields we are proud of the many things we do to help your child feel welcome, valued and encouraged as an individual. As Headteacher, I am confident that this website will give you a flavour of our thriving, vibrant, high achieving school.

Our NURSERY is open 5 days a week term time only (from 2019-20) and offers a full day from 7.30am until 6.00pm accepting children from the age of 2.

Our MAIN SCHOOL starts at Reception for children turning 5 and ultimately goes on to prepare children for common entrance or 11+ entry to senior school at 11.

At Highfields we believe in three simple principles:

Our aim is for every child to attain their best possible academic potential, which we achieve with small class sizes, specialist teaching and dedicated learning support.  I believe it is important to nurture the talent in every child and give them the best possible start to their education, treating each child as an individual.

We understand how children learn and have developed an enhanced curriculum that goes beyond the classroom and  is fun and exciting, inspiring not only a love for learning but building self-esteem and encouraging children to explore and enjoy new challenges. Fundamental to all this is our firm belief in establishing strong foundations for your children’s future development.

I look forward to welcoming you and your family personally for a visit which will enable you to gain a full picture of the unique and caring environment that makes Highfields so special.

Mrs Sarah H Lyons, BEd (Hons) Primary Years, Headteacher
