One of our school families has just returned from Boa Vista, Cape Verde which is located off the north west coast of Africa. They spent a day with young children aged 1 to 5 years at a kindergarten. These children live in the slums, most with no running water or electricity. Many of the homes are just four walls and a dirt floor. They are fed, clothed and cared for at the kindergarten provided by the Charity Un Click Per Un Sorriso. Thanks to money raised on our Mufti day and kind donations by Manor Pharmacy, they delivered 30 kg of clothes, vitamins and baby paracetamol. There was enough money collected to help fund a beach party too, providing, food drinks and beach toys. We have now arranged a twin with the kindergarten and will continue to help!
