On Tuesday the U9 boys made the hike over to Chesterfield as we visited SPSP – a first for Highfields as away days go. With views of the famous Spire in the distance, the boys took on Queen Vicarage from Derbyshire in the opening match. As play swung from end to end, Highfields took an early lead through Arthur, before being pegged back twice as QV took the lead, 1-2. However weren’t behind for long, as Brodie found the net to level the scores. Final score 2-2.
The second fixture saw us take on the hosts, SPSP. Highfields dominated the game and lead twice through Brodie and Elliot, however on both occasions clinical finishing from our opponents saw the scores tied. Despite late chances, honours finished even, 2-2.
