On a blustery Wednesday afternoon the U11 boys visited the Lindum Sports ground to take on Lincoln Minster. The game itself was a tight affair with chances few and far between, as both defences dominated proceedings, with Olly and Will repelling attacks. When the goal was finally threatened, Lincoln found goalkeeper, Jaden, on top form. The decisive moment came late in the game, which saw Lincoln break on a counter attack and Jaden collide with the striker, without hesitation (or complaint) and the referee awarded a penalty, which was duly dispatched. Hard lines, boys, but much to be proud of. Final Score, Highfields 0-1 Lincoln Minster.
The netballers played an U10’s and U11’s fixture at LMS on the same afternoon. The commitment and desire to improve was immense. In conditions that threw everything at our girls, they gritted their teeth. Sadly both teams narrowly lost, with the U10’s being in front right up to the final few minutes, but we came away full of pride. Well done girls.
