At the second attempt, we managed to dodge the rain showers to hold the Highfields annual Sports Day.  Junior pupils competed to earn points across the full range of Athletics events, performing the field events in the morning before taking to the track in the afternoon. After a hard fought day of activity, competition and fun, there were only a few points separating the four Houses. However, it was Rufford who ran out eventual winners, clinched by a strong showing in the Tug of War.  Well done to all involved to help make the day a great success.

There were several record breaking performances, all within the morning program.

Ball Throw:  Freddie 23.14m,  Beatrix 18.80m.

Shot Put:  Harry H 8.56m, Frankie 8.12m.

Turbo Javelin: Freddie 13.03m

Discus: Shahid 11.34
