As a non-selective school we are extremely proud of our academic results. Many of our pupils go on to achieve scholarships in music, sport, art, choral and academic at a number of leading senior independent schools, including Nottingham High School and Lincoln Minster. Other places have been gained at selective senior independent schools including Nottingham Girls’ High School, Stamford Endowed Schools, Worksop College and Oakham School.
The grammar schools at Grantham (The King’s School for boys and Kesteven & Grantham Girls’ School for girls) and Sleaford (Carre’s School for boys and Kesteven & Sleaford High School Selective Academy for girls) remain popular destinations for many Highfields pupils. Entry to the grammar schools, which are in Lincolnshire, is by 11+ examination and Highfields has enjoyed a very high pass rate in recent years.
Under the national curriculum we chose to publish our SATs results, which other independent schools do not, and we are very proud of these. Based on these results, for four out of five years we have received national recognition as a ‘Sunday Times Top 100 Independent Primary School. One of our more recent SATs results can be viewed below
We now follow Cambridge Curriculum for maths, English and science so pupils in Forms 6 and 2 no longer sit SATs.
