No fillings today! The dentists visit Pre-School

On Wednesday morning, Pre-School enjoyed a visit from two dentists from London Road Dental Practice.  They explained that they must wear a special uniform and why they cover their mouth and nose with a mask.  We had a go with the special equipment that they use to look at a patient’s teeth.  We showed the dentists how thoroughly we brush our teeth, using the pretend teeth and a toothbrush.  Then they held up some play food and we had to decide whether this was good for our teeth or not.  We also talked about healthy drinks and why milk is good for our teeth.  The dentists kindly gave everyone a special sticker, for listening so carefully.  They also gave each of the children an individual booklet, to enable them to keep track of their teeth brushing.
