Highfields has for the third consecutive year appeared in the Sunday Times’ Top 100 Independent Preparatory Schools league table. This year we are ranked 38th, proving that Highfields is one of the best performing preparatory schools in the country.
The table is based on our performance at level 5 in SATs in Key Stage 2, whereas the national average at this age would normally be level 4. The children are assessed in maths and English (reading, writing and grammar). The average English score from the three separate tests is added to the maths score to give an overall ranking.
This superb achievement underlines the School’s commitment to academic excellence combined with first class teaching across the core subjects, which is complimented here at Highfields with a full and enriched curriculum which gives the children so much more than just success within the classroom.
We are enormously proud of our pupils and teachers and delighted to be included in the top 100 independent preparatory schools as ranked by a national newspaper yet again!
