White Post Farm brought their animal roadshow to Highfields today for our Spring Open Morning as we enjoyed a carousel of Spring-themed activities. We joined our Houses as follows –
Newstead began outside with a team-building exercise led by Mr Lewis;
Rufford undertook an art project, painting wooden hearts with an “I love Britain” theme (linked to our Best of British topic this term);
Welbeck were in Forest School first thing;
and Clumber began with the feathered and furry beasts outside with the animal roadshow. White Post Farm brought with them some chickens, rabbits, hamsters and mice, a slippery snake and a rather scary tarantula!
We all rotated the different activities and fortunately the sun stayed out – what a great way to celebrate our Spring Open Morning!
We would like to thank all the new families who came to look round this morning. We look forward to welcoming them again soon to both main school and our Kindergarten.
