Highfields lifts silver at Newark Hi5 Netball Tournament – Captain’s Report

That morning we all woke up at an early start but weren’t bothered at all as we were going to one of the most important tournaments this year.

Winning 2-0 against Bishop Alexander, 2-1 against Chuter Ede B, 3-0 against Holy Trinity, 7-0 William Gladstone, 4-0 John Hunt, 2-0 Bleasby and 3-0 Farndon we had just easily stepped through the first round.

Soon we had got to the quarter finals and played the Mount which we ….WON!

Next was Chuter Ede A in the semi final who were a very good team which meant we were even better because we had won again 2-0!

The final soon came but we were playing Barnby Road A.  We had played so well in all the others but I think we lost some energy as unfortunately we lost 3-1.  None of us were at all upset because despite not winning we had a great time coming second out of 16!

Overall we were really proud of ourselves and not forgetting Miss Emery who trained us to do so well!
