Active Fridays are back! This term’s rotation sees our upper Prep students take on Racquetball and Trampolining. As you can see from the pictures today, they have really jumped at the challenge!
Active Enrichment has seen our activity offer broaden significantly in the past two years. This has enabled pupils to take on a host of new and exciting activities from rock climbing to street dance, from table tennis to kayaking, all in order to challenge and inspire our pupils. However underpinning all of this, is our commitment and responsibility to teach Highfields pupils to swim. Not only is this a central part of the National Curriculum, we at Highfields view this as a ‘life skill’ and integral to the duty of care to our pupils. By the end of Year 6 we aim that all our pupils have achieved Stage 7 of the School Swimming Learner Journey.
