Form 6 are today visiting the Thinktank Science Museum in Birmingham. From steam engines and talking robots through to gurgling guts and a chocolate wrapping machine (even a giant hamster wheel!), Thinktank has over 200 hands-on displays on science and technology.
Housed inside the impressive Millennium Point building at Thinktank there are four floors of hands-on exhibits and historical collections which demonstrate the science of the world all around us, including the Science Garden, Planetarium and an exciting programme of events and activities.
Form 6 pupils saw the heaviest locomotive to be made for Britain (161 tonnes), visited the Spitfire gallery (there was a real Spitfire made in Birmingham), and finally the “About Me” gallery with interactive exhibits about the human body. As you can see from the gallery below, the children were enthralled and had a fantastic day!
