CREATIVE ARTS WEEK day 4 – BRASS WORKSHOP – Thursday 16th October 2014

The brilliant and very talented Jim Stretton held an amazing series of Brass Workshops in the Sports Hall today, Thursday 16th October, as part of our Creative Arts week, for both Infants and Juniors.  The Infants were joined by Swinderby Primary School.  Led by our new Head of Music, Mrs Rowan Cozens, the children danced and marched to the tune of Mr Stretton’s trombone playing the Teddy Bears’ Picnic, Postman Pat and many other familiar pieces.  Then there was the opportunity to practise blowing and some children were invited up to the front to try out a selection of brass instruments.  It was a very noisy experience!

Newark Advertiser came to cover the event and have recorded some footage which you can see if you follow the link [to follow].
