Covid-19 updates

School closure during current Covid-19 national lockdown and re-opening on 8th March 2021

During the most recent national lockdown in January and February 2021 school remained closed to all but children of key workers or children who are vulnerable.  Kindergarten remained open five days a week term time only but with an earlier closing time of 3.30pm. 

School continued to offer remote learning for all pupils from reception to Form 6, as in the first lockdown in 2020.  For a copy of our Remote Learning Guide please see below.

Closure during first lockdown

School first began working remotely for the safety of pupils, staff and the wider community in the first national lockdown on 23rd March 2020.  Class teachers provided online learning using home-study packs through Class Dojo and other remote tools including Zoom, Google classrooms and Microsoft Teams.

School remained open throughout the first lockdown for the children of key workers and vulnerable children. 

Re-opening after first national lockdown

In line with government guidance, School partially reopened for children in years 6,1, reception and Kindergarten from Monday 8th June 2020. Pupils in the remaining years returned partially from Monday 22nd June 2020.

School re-opened to pupils in all years in both Kindergarten and main school on Monday 7th September 2020 for the start of the Autumn Term.  Please refer to the following risk assessment –

November lockdown 

During the second lockdown from 5th November 2020, School continued to remain fully open to children in all year groups. Kindergarten also remained open.

Tours of school during lockdown
