Platinum Jubilee Pageant and Picnic

Platinum Jubilee Pageant and Picnic

Preparing for the Jubilee sketching HM The Queen
Flying the flag!

We celebrated Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with a stunning Platinum Jubilee Pageant and Picnic.

Opening with a stunning parade which was led by our own “Queen” Lily on horseback , orchestra played the National Anthem. Each year group from reception to year 6 performed a tableau depicting a decade in our Queen’s 70 year reign. All four nations of the UK were represented in traditional dance from each of these countries.

The whole school helped to bake a Jubilee cake which we delivered to a local residential care home. We planted a specially cultivated rose in the school grounds to commemorate and remember this Jubilee.

Parents and families were treated to a delicious home-made picnic with sandwiches, scones, cakes and tea! Every child received a commemorative Platinum Jubilee coin to take home.

We were so proud to be able to celebrate this historic event as a whole school community. God save the Queen!
